Is the emperor really a god?
Is he divine like the ruinous powers?

The Emperor is the collective reincarnation of all the shamans of Neolithic humanity's various peoples, the first human psykers.

Basically the Shamans of Mankind during the Ancient Era were able to reincarnate into new bodies upon death, but around the 8th century B.C. they started to lose this power due to the forming four Great Powers of Chaos taking note of the latent collective psyche of Humanity that started to grow and darken, so in order to escape the warp creatures from consuming their souls they elected to sacrifice themselves in a ritual to create the Emperor as we know him, an extremely powerful Psyker that was basically an immortal Superhuman, but otherwise Human, not a God in any real sense other than religiously (Lectitio Divinitatus text) or maybe through an increasingly potent warp conciousness (Star Child, basically his soul adrift in the warp), currently though he is a corpse sitting on the golden throne where his mind is helping Mankind navigate through the warp via the Astronomican, fueled by the psychic energy of one hundred Psykers who are sacrificed per day.

Shamans that acted an awful lot like Tau Ethereal's in regards to that they directed Humanity and gathered in conclaves in the Ancient Era, like the Ethereal's Aun Caste does with the rest of the Tau race.

Side note:

"It is suggested that "pious marines" who can hear the Astronomican can fall into a meditative trance when they focus on it. Space Marine Captain Gabriel Angelos occasionally entered a sort of battle trance when he heard the Astronomican while fighting, improving his prowess in combat for the duration." - http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Astronomican

No wonder he can move the way he does.

Yes and no.

His presence in warp is bigger than before thanks to Lorgar's Imperial Creed mindset. In his current status, he is a god.

But he never wanted to be one but he is a human like everyone else besides being a psyker.

But is really THE Emperor, or a warpborn conciousness that just assumed the mantle, because it is worshipped by so many people?

It is really the Emperor at least most part of him since he still can communicate in material realm and there's the starchild theory.

It was never confirmed, and I believe it is for the best, since a sense of mystique adds much to the storyline.

Yeah.

In his opinion, no.
To the modern imperium, yes, hes spoken of as a god.

God is a very vague concept, everyone thinks of it in different ways, for some its who ever is repsonsable for all this, for some its whatever gets them what they want for example money, for some its what ever makes them feel good, for some its what ever they appreciate most, for some its doing what there parents told them to and for others it can be nature.

Well, he basically has his own daemons now. The Living Saints, including Celestine, and the Legion of the Damned, are identified as Daemons by the Eldar, and the description would perfectly fit.

The shadow of the worship of the Emperor, may have engendered a new Chaos God in the Warp, the God of Order, which would also fit with the Star Father/ Star Child prophecies.

Wether it actually is the Emperor, overcoming his material bonds and being reborn, or simply a new creature, bestowed with Mankind's idealized view of the Emperor, that goes by His name, and answer His call; was never revealed.

Emperor uses Imperial daemons even in Master of Mankind novel. So it's nothing new from lore point now. Also faith stuff of Sisters are now directly connected to Emperor.

Like when Celestine loses her powers when she fight Abaddon next to pylons in Cadia.

Which means he was a hypocrite all along. He preached atheism, yet he knew of the existence of Gods (even if you reason that the Chaos Gods are not actual Gods, since they were spawned because of events on the Materium, the C'Tan Stargods would be actual Gods, since they were spawned in the very moment the universe came to be), and he knew he was ascending to godhood himself.
The Emperor was never a religious man, and never wanted to be worshipped as a literal god.

Ironically, it was Lorgar the Urizan, primarch of the Word Bearers and faithful servant of Chaos Undivided who started the whole Emprah worship thing.

In fact, it is Lorgar's works that are chanted by Imperial priests, and scrawled all over pieces of paper that are then slapped all over the Space Marines' armor for protection against the forces of chaos.

Just don't remind him of that if you don't want your arms ripped from their sockets and used to pound you into a sticky paste resembling dog food.

Lorgar was 40K church Christianity. He saw the Lord, but instead of doing as he had been told to, he decided to evangelize through churches and a priestly class.

Jesus was also against organized religion, and priesthood.
It is a clever throwback to actual History.

Isn't lorgar the weakest primarch?

Anyway why did the emperor denouce the existance of gods when he bargained with the chaos gods to create the primarchs?

Because he is a hypocrite, and also because he knew that humans are naturally inclined to worship, and the Chaos Gods would shape Mankind into emotionally driven maniacs.

The Emperor believed Mankind should ascend from it's own nature, and become powerful enough to overcome all Gods.
