Is there a coop campaign?
I loved to play DoW 2 with friends in coop. We loved the RPG elements and the posibility to get gear to improve and customize your characters. There are not many RTS game with this specific mix of gameplay.

But as it looks DoW3 is more of a basebuilding game. So will there be a coop mode comparable to that of DoW2?

No there isn't a co op campaign. The only "co op" is playing on the same team as your friends vs AI in the power core mode.

Is this actually confirmed anywhere? Co-op in DoW2 was a really great experience.

The developers said that there was only one game mode at launch and that the campaign is solo only. So basically, unless they change something or release some addon. It's friends vs AI in the single mode (power core).
