Hey,
There was a new update launched about an hour ago. If you can't get it to launch here are the steps you should follow.
1) Reboot your computer- try again. If it doesn't work move to 2)
2) Sometime steam fails to download all the files for some reason. Here are the steps to verify and download missing files if any are missing: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8676-EFLX-7453 If this does not work move to 3)
3) A few more long shot chances to fix it, mainly #3 on this list: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6218-USFX-5568
If none of those work for you let me know here or via email: admin@ventdev.com and we'll figure it out.
That means you need to verify your game files via steam. You're missing the main executable, see this thread: http://steamcommunity.com/app/285110/discussions/3/37470848571301587/
And this steam thread: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
Do you have an anti virus scanning software installed? Most likely it's reporting Steam DRM in the game as a virus and preventing it from installing.
Disable your AV software, verify cache again, then try running. If it works, you'll need to whitelist the game in your AV software before reenabling your AV software.
If this does not work, please email me the log files: admin@ventdev.com
I probably won't be able to get to them tonight, but I will look at them first thing in the morning.
I just got the game, and when I start it, the mouse cursor moves for approximately 4 seconds, and then no longer moves at all. As directed above, I've restarted the computer, and it still doesn't work. I've verified the cache files, and they're all okay.
Any other suggestions to try?
Hi Valek,
Please email me your log file. To get to it, right click the game in Steam. Select Properties, the select the Local Files tab. Then click the Browse Local Files button.
The log file is named Logfile.log and is in the GearCity folder. Please email it to admin@ventdev.com and I'll take a look at it asap.
Replied to your email. It may land in spam, if you don't receive it in 10minutes, let me know and I'll send it from a different account.
1. whenever I am in the magasine and try to choose my carmodel in the comparison, the game crashes.
2. (the more important one for me) The tutorial is great, exept it starts over from the begining each time and i cant skip to where i am.
1) If you can send me the log file and the save game it will help me fix the issue.
To get both files:
Right click the game in Steam.
Select Properties
Select the Local Files tab.
Then click the Browse Local Files button.
Open the GearCity folder
The log is named Logfile.Log and the save game will be located in the SaveGame folder.
Email them to admin@ventdev.com please include your username or a description of the bug, or a link. So I know what issue the files are associated with.
2)Disable the tutorials, go to where you were, and enable the tutorials. That should skip you ahead somewhat. But in any event. This has been a commonly requested feature. So after I slim down the tutorials some (which I'm in the process of) I'll look into doing something like this.
