Saw a positive article about this port and it interests me, I especially like the diorama style environments. But I don't enjoy pandering or lecturing or toning down of fantasy fun, and that all seems like a possibility considering it is SquareEnix.

Its not woke, but the writing is horrible. The characters repeat everything out loud as though you cant see what they are describing with your own eyes. The game pauses to read you a story book version of what is happening in real time, as in right now. Why the hell is there a narrator describing to you how a character says something when the lines are voice acted? Its not woke, but the game assumes its audience is dumb.

Voice acting is a new addition of the Neo Dimension version, the original version didn't have it.
