Specifically the 5days,6days and 7days games.

Point and click adventure games heavily inspired by lovecraft, which despite having primitive artwork are surprisingly chilling

A huge bonus is that these games are freeware so there is not much reason not to give them at least a try.

I could use more recommendations. I love this series and have been looking for more games like it. Not necessarily Point and Click but at least the same kind of Lovecraftian/E.A. Poe style.

I cannot recommend this game enough. It has humor(alot), the occult, even has Lovecraft arguing with Poe haha. Reminds me of the old Sierra games.
