Camera bug?
Is anyone else's camera randomly looking down or up and stuck until you aim your blaster or load a save?

Hey Aphrojess,

Thank you for your message and I'm sorry to hear that you experience issues with a camera positioning.

We have reports of camera angle issues when players are on their speeder in certain spots.
If this the situation you experienced?

If not, feel free to record a short video of it and share it here, so we can have a look.
How to make a screen recording[support.microsoft.com]

It is also be worth raising it via game's bug reporter [ubi.li]

Camera issue
Every once in a while the camera will shoot up and make me look at the sky. I'm using an Xbox controller. This is the only game it does it with and I've tested my controller and don't have any stick drift. Not sure why it does it, but it can get annoying.

Does anyone know of a fix?

Hi Ki11s0n3! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this camera issue in Star Wars Outlaws. Is the camera panning upwards at specific moments during gameplay or randomly? Also, which model is your other controller that you aren't having issues with?

Could you please try the following steps:
  1. Ensure your Xbox controller is properly configured in Steam's Controller Settings.
  2. Verify your game files[ubi.li] to check for any missing or corrupt files and replace them.
Please let me know whether this help!

Under Settings: - Controls: - Advanced Controls: Turn off "Align with Horizon", and "Align with moving direction". That should solve your problem. They are handy QOL though, so until the issue is solved you'll just have to do without them unfortunately, or you'll have to put up with the bug if you want those features otherwise.

I will give it a try next time I play. Thanks.

Will check back if it works or not.

So it worked for the most part. I still get it every once in a while, but no where near as bad as it was. Just weird that this is the only game I have issues with.

And for the Dev I did both update and configure my controller as well as verify my files.
I am having the issue as well and not just on the speeder. The info above helped make it not happen as much and I have even made a thread about it as well. Hopefully there's a fix soon because it is super annoying.

Bug happening here. I am playing with an X-Box Controller. The quickest way I found to unstuck it on the fly is to display the Nix menu (Left Bumper button).

You can also tap the AIM trigger. I recently just started having the snap to look down start with my Xbox controller (over 40 hours in with no problems, just started today). This is quickest recovery using AIM
