how the hell do you get blasters to work

i play with an x-box controller. i aim, fire. nothing happens. i fire without aiming and nothing still happens. i'm a bit sick of having a bead on stormtroopers only to have my blaster fail.

oh and this applies to the rifles i pick up too, not just kay's lame shooter.

weird, i also use an xbox controller and have no issue (other than my crappy aiming and stupidly pressing fire instead of the button for stun a lot of the time, lol)

Hey enntau,

Sorry to hear that you have issues with Xbox controller in Star Wars Outlaws.

Try changing Steam client controller settings. Disable Steam input if you have it enabled and restart the game. There are also additional options in Steam controller setup, so check them out as well.

Is your controller connected wirelessly or via a USB cable?

usb cable. now, i know that stun has a recharge time but i'm not referring to that here. it's worth mentioning that i *can* get the weapon to fire but it's not consistent. i can't figure out if/how to get one shot per trigger pull. i started this thread mainly to see if there's a trick to it, or if unreliable weapons are a feature. thanks, ubi.

a perfect example is when i pick up a rifle dropped by an enemy. i cannot get that puppy to shoot.

SOLVED: my RT is glitchy. swapped the controller out with a new PS-style and voila! thing works sweet.
