Data Spike Not Working

I just go this game and have been trying to play it. But when I do anything with the Data Spike, I get nothing. I have looked up videos on how it is to work. I do everything, and get the blue light to flash, as it should, but still don't get an open door/chest. I have the visual aid on, it is set to easy, and I still get nothing. Is there something else that needs to be be adjusted, or is the Obisoft needing to issue out a patch to fix this bug ASAP?

Also, player workarounds for this issue that I've found are:

"You have to time it to the two beats quickly. Not just do one beat then wait and do another if that makes sense?"

"If anyone is still having trouble getting into doors with the data spike just turn off UI helper in settings it worked for me"

There's an option to disable the minigame in the settings. I did it by the end of the game because I had enough of it. Whatever you press it should work.
