Game wiped my saves

Was doing The Slicer quest, had a few saves and an auto save as well, all inside the compound. Things got out of hand right before finishing the quest (escaping) so I decided to reload the save mid fight, but the game somehow glitched out and all the saves related to this quest now send me back to the moment before I even started it, far away from the location.
I have the ultimate edition of this game on Ubisoft connect and I wanted to give it another chance despite not liking it much, but there's no way I'm going to replay through all that again. What a broken mess.
