It's blurry
I started the game, and it looked fine, but now the game makes everyones face blurry, and random objects as well. Is this something anyone else has experienced? Im running it DLSS Quality

Im glad I'm not the only one! I thought it was maybe my setup, but none of my other games have ever done this to me. This game isnt optimised very well I suppose. I refunded.

also if you are on Nvidia ;
open Nvidia app.
ALT+F3 and choose the Sharpen filter. Its a difference by night and day.

Thanks, this is helpful, but I already refunded, and I shouldn't have to be going around looking through reddit to find someone to fix the developers mistakes. I want the game I paid for to fix the problem, or I'm out. Thats what I paid for.

The funny thing about this fix, this has been used since Division 1, the very first game they made with this engine.

Thats not what I meant, what is your native resolution. If its 1080p, any upscaling is usually going to be blurry.

what are the specs? if you have a 8gb gpu 4k is not gonna happen.

I run a 3070ti 8gb card for this game.

The first few hours of the game I could run 4k just fine at 65 fps with nothing being blurry at all, and running very well. It's only until I get to the first planet, inside the first city where everything starts to turn into a blurry mess. I tried to go back down to 2k to maybe fix the issue, but it didnt matter where I put it, even 1080p was the same blurry I had.

Also, I can play God of War, Ghost of T, Cyberpunk, and many other games in 4k at 65-80fps with no issues, so I don't understand when people say that 8gb cards can't run 4k. It must be some sort of cope for when they bought cards with more ram. It's my best guess.

Thats because you run out of VRAM. Once that happens, the game has two options. Halt the renderengine until it has obtained the high quality texture from system memory (stuttering), or render the game at a low LOD (blurry). Most games these days to the latter, like Halo infinite for example, and Forspoken is another example. This being another one.

The only way to fix it, is to lower the texture resolution, turn off high RT effects and dont use too much upscaling and framegen tech. All of these features cost VRAM.

Thats because the games you mention have low texture quality, CBP 2077 noteably has low texture quality vanilla, which is why several HD Texture packs are available on nexusmods.

Dont blame developers because you just had to buy the 3070, despite several outlets warning you that the low cap VRAM would be an issue down the line. Hardware Unboxed has been vindicated time and time again, yet people still deny their results.

8GB is NOT enough for anything over 1080medium in 2024.
