Thank you for bringing it to our attention and sorry to hear it that Star Wars Outlaws crashed on GeForce Now.
@steinerITA, you mentioned it happens when you attempt to enter the city of Mirogana, but them you wrote "I tried to start a new game after the update...". Does this mean you cannot start a new game from the beginning, or is it still the city of Mirogana?
People with the DLC however don't seem to experience it
I bought the game on the 22nd, started it and it crashed when I reached Mirogana. Nvidia then did an update to the game on GFN on the 23rd and I tried to restart from the beginning afterwards, but encountered the same identical bug.
Basically, I can only play the very first mission and the beginning of the second. This is the link to the issue on the bug reporter:
https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/star-wars/outlaws/bug-reporter/issues/SWO-1534
The attached video describes what happens.
I can confirm that the game crashing on GeForce Now (and Luna) when entering Mirogana has been reported to the game team. This is being currently investigated.
I would advise all affected players to contribute to the existing bug reporter ticket (link above - thanks @steinerITA) or create a new one.
I will update this thread when we have new information.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
There is a potential workaround to this issue, but be careful when deleting any files.
Instead of deleting them, move them temporarily to a different location (desktop for instance).
Go to C:\Users[user]\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher and delete all Outlaws related files
Go to C:\Users[user]\\Documents\My Games and delete all Outlaws related files
Restart your PCs and test the game please.
Let us know if that worked.
Like flindo says, we don't have access to these folders when playing on GFN. I don't even have the Ubisoft Game Launcher installed on my local machine.
We are waiting for an update in the internal ticket that will fix these game streaming services issue. I will let you know as soon as we have new information.
I have found a solution... But this solution only makes Ubisoft happy. If you acquire the DLC wildcard, the error no longer occurs 😂
