Star Wars Outlaws not starting on Steam, and Ubisoft Connect doesnt recognize Ive purchased the game on Steam
Star Wars Outlaws not starting on Steam and crashes on start up. Ubisoft Connect also does not even recognize I've purchased the game on Steam. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to work? I have signed out of both Steam and Ubisoft connect, and resigned back in, I've restarted both platforms, and uninstalled and reinstalled through Steam twice now and the game will not even start.

What I dont understand is I have Avatar Frontiers of Pandora and Assassins Creed Odyssey both on Steam and my Ubisoft account recognizes them both, but NOT Star Wars Outlaws.

FIXED: Ok for anyone else having this same issue. What I had to do to fix this, was:

1. Go into the install folder where Steam installed Star Wars Outlaws.
2. Right click on Outlaws.exe
3. Click Properties
4. Then go to the compatability tab
5. Check RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR and click apply NOTE: I actually had to do this same exact thing for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora when I bought it on Steam as well.
6. Once I did that, I started the game by double clicking the Outlaws.exe file in the in the Steam installation folder.
7. Once in game it connected the game through my Ubisoft Connect account.
8. I then exited the game.
9. And was then able to start it through Steam Just fine after these steps.

Hope this helps anyone else!

I got it to work by quitting out of Ubisoft Connect using the icon in the system tray on the taskbar. Then launching the game on Steam and letting Steam launch Ubisoft Connect itself.

Hello guys,

Thank you for sharing your solutions, and sorry you had to go through this.

For anyone else and future reference: When linking Steam and Ubisoft accounts, both launchers will need admin permissions.
