Star Wars Outlaws on Steam Deck

So from my research the non-Steam version was initially unplayable on Steam Deck on launch and then after some optimizations via patches it became at least marginally playable.

Do you guys think that being on Steam (and having Valve's optimizations to proton and steamOS as well as pre-compiled shaders and the lower overhead of not needing a third party launcher) will have a significant impact on Steam Deck performance? I hope so..

I'll be playing primarily on my desktop rig but I'd also like to be able to occasionally play on my Steam Deck. Either way I'm super excited for Thursday's Steam release! :-)

Also...f there any people reading this who have a non-Steam version that they are playing right now on Steam Deck then perhaps you could comment on the current state of SW:O on Deck?

coming from a steam os deck user + pc
no, performance with or without ubi are going to be the same , whatever the version
being on steam won't change the program you'll be launching, will just change the fact that you won't need to launch another launcher
shaders are not precompiled by steam, the only thing is that yoou might not have to specify a proton version
