Graphics issue
So during game play, I will have super graphic details, I'll pause and come back and all of a sudden everything looks like a sloppy solid color. Example:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3450059272

This is pretty good details.

But then my graphics will be turned down so low that green thing on the left has a solid ugly green no detail, and the creature on the right, horns are a solid shade with no horn grow lines.

My wanted posted with my face is all a blur and sometimes I can't see the blurry Sabacc cards .

I set my graphic to low and high again in game, doesn't work.

So I save, shut it down and reopen the game to get better graphics.

Anyone else have this issue and how did you solve it?

Unrelated , I just bought a new card I'm waiting for and hope it gets me thru the remastered Dead space ending.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler

I hope it helps with this.

i also have this issue, with another fun little bug in that quitting the game by option of the menu doesn't actually close the game. i have to force quit from steam or it will continue on hidden in the background, even task manager doesn't recognize it,

Had the same issue today, some textures just weren't loading up correctly. Found this on Reddit and it did the trick

.Look in documents/Mygames/outlaws

.Open Graphics settings.cfg with notepad

.Look for [“streamer dedicated”] = 64

.Change it to: [“streamer dedicated”] = 4096

.Save

I'm using a 24gb gpu so not sure if that'll make a difference to the streaming quality, if you run out of vram try setting it to 1024 instead

Also, changing sharpening from .6999 to .99 makes a nice difference to the graphics as well, you can find that in the same config file

I think It may actually just be my graphics card. It wasn't until recently I tried to upgrade my CPU in motherboard and discovered it wasn't compatible with my machine. When I checked my graphics card I recognized it, it's only 1080 and at the time I got it, was running like 1 high end game that "at the time" needed it.

So 1 it's pretty old, and 2 it was caked up with dust. And this isn't your average dust. I live on an Island with a very Active Volcano. So our daily Vog in the air kind of messes everything up. (So yeah not just dust but ash)

I returned that Ryzen 5600 core because I didn't need it and it wasn't compatible anyway, I'm just gonna invest in a new card since mine is old and outdated. I'm meeting minimum requirements, but with highend games today were gonna need a little more kick now.

I think thats the way I'm gonna go for now and see what's what.

I don't think my card was an issue.

I've upgraded my card to 3060, still get stuttering and lag.

Is there anyone with experience or can compare your DxDiag with mine to tel me what if anything I'm doing wrong.

I just cannot seem to play this game with Continuity and smoothness.

Sometimes the screen will freeze, there is sound, but then the screen will burst with speed to catch up to the sound.

I have 1TB memory. i7 intel core, and now just recently swapped out my 1080 graphics card with a 3060 RTX. Windows 11, Direct x 12.

What more do I need to just play a smooth running game, no freezes , no rubber banding or long wait time for graphics to load. I just don't get it.

Is there anyone that can help, if you're running this game smoothly without any of my problems above? I bless you kindly upon your soul for any support.

try the latest Nvidia driver 576.15 (hot fix driver)

in release notes (for 576.02 driver, hotfix fixes a temp sensor issue) > [Star Wars Outlaws] Application will freeze after leaving the game idle for 5+ minutes

so may be related

Turn off all overlays, steam, ubisoft, nvidia. also turn off cloud saves in ubiconnect.

I found turning off rtx direct lighting improved performance and crashes

delete shadercache and shaderbytecode from documents/mygames/outlaws

i have posted all my in game settings in another post, but am using a 4070ti, so you may not be able to go as high, but i am running above 80fps all the time, with very few crashes now
