Three months out and the game is 50% off. Should have started at $34.99 but the world is full of gullible and impatient people.
I'd be surprised if there are many more updates. Ubisoft is closing offices.
What did the update bring? Has the stealth been improved, do bodies stop respawning after they’ve been dispatched? I know the community really want that feature.
Details of the updates contents can be found in the link from the kind post from Hsrtman
If ever we can help with anything else in the future, just let us know
Thank you 👍
Does Ubisoft consider the gameplay mechanics complete at this point?
I really like stealth games and i love classic star wars. I thought this game would be a match made in heaven. But the Stealth is very basic and kinda pointless.
Ubisoft created the best stealth game of all-time with Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. Any chance you guys might add some depth to the stealth mechanics?
It is unlikely that any significant changes will be made to the game mechanics at this point. However, I wouldn't say it's pointless, as stealth is the best way to minimize reputation loss. My main issue is that there are too many locations where sneaking up on enemies is nearly impossible because they tend to be in groups, and the whistle often attracts multiple enemies. I recently completed the Imperial compound on Toshara with the big radio dish in full stealth, and in the end, only three enemies were left standing. What frustrates me is that there is no option to save in those areas outside of autosave. And when an autosave loads, you find yourself in the middle of an enemy base, only to discover that all the enemies have respawned, which is very frustrating.
I find that when a game allows to me ‘go loud’ i tend to do so, even when i would prefer to play stealthily. It usually means the game isn’t built for stealth - it’s optional. And playing stealthily just isn’t that fun.
But when a game game can only be played stealthily it means the developers have built the whole game around it and that it’s a fun and rewarding experience.
For me, that just adds to the challenge, especially in this game where if enemies manage to trigger an alarm, you are done for and get swarmed by an endless horde of enemies. But then I tend to be stealthy whenever possible. Having better stealth would be nice, but it's also not a deal-breaker for me.
