Nope, I have 24H2 and the game keeps crashing on the first planet you visit. Like it's very bad and it hasn't been adressed. Most likely the people that are not having issues on Windows 11 don't have the 24H2 version installed. If you have 23H2 you're good to go but if not, well, RIP. Just have to wait for a patch, if it ever comes out either from Ubisoft or a new update from Microsoft that doesn't break things.

Ubisoft released a hotfix for that 5 days ago, it was update 1.5.0.1, do you still have this issue?

Yes, my game is up to date. Same issue, the hotfix maybe reduced the probability of crashes but it still happens.

Not at all. Crashes still happen. Can you check your Windows version to confirm if you don't have version 24H2? You can check the version by typing "winver" in the search bar in taskbar and opening the app called winver. You most likely don't have that version, specially if you have the game from Ubisoft store since it realeased before and Microsoft acknowledges the version 24H2 causes issues with Ubisoft games. they didn't realease this update for people that have installed any recent ubisoft game like Outlaws, Avatar, Assassin's Creed Mirage, etc.

TLDR: Don't get this game if you have version 24H2. Wait for a patch.

I don't have this game but I have other Ubisoft launched games on 24H2.

Several applications needed to be reinstalled after 24H2 was installed at work. Something the update did broke installed software.

Ubisoft Connect installed an update immediately after I installed 24H2 and works just fine. I even deny its request to elevate permissions and it continues to run without issue. (Running standard user permissions for day-to-day and gaming stuff. One might be surprised how UAC Admin lets things slip by so easily unnoticed by the users and UAC-less Admin might as well not have any protection.)

Its a problem with the windows update, not windows itself.

I have Windows 11 24H2 and bought this game in the recent sales.

I'm around 9 hours in with zero crashes and great performance. Only the usual Ubisoft style bugs with the AI acting like weirdos :D

mine crashes constantly. usually after 10 minutes of play. i've been searching for a fix and see lots of people still have the same issue!

And now Windows is notifying me that 24H2 is available, and I'm a little bit unsure :). Kinda funny that just the other day I had to disable Core Isolation to be able to play Starlink: Battle for Atlas, which is another Snowdrop engine game.

For a gaming PC it is best to keep up with security updates but hold out a little longer for the feature-set updates until issues are ironed out - at least a few months. The maintenance paradigm for a gaming PC should be stability/compatibility and not bleeding edge OS features.
Since MS likes to shove these down your throat without asking, here is an easy tool[www.grc.com] to stay on 23H2 even if you have the home version without the group policy editor.
