Star Wars outlaws constant crashing
So I am on the new version of windows, I dunno if that's causing my crashing or not, I know its been an issue before from my googling, but I'm too late to rollback. Anyone have any decent fixes?

Same issue for me. I tried the admin thing, I tried switching to Vulkan, my CPU is a 5800X3D, not one of those overboosted Intels. Thermals are fine, GPU is a 3090 and neither VRAM nor RAM are anywhere near full. I tried various combinations of settings, fullscreen/borderless window, lowering the refresh rate, and so on.

What's frustrating is that other than the crashes, the game runs fine with everything on Ultra. On a 2K monitor, the 3090 eats this game for breakfast.

Sure. i play 4k 4070 ti. i take average 90 fps.
suddenly stops responding. I don't think there has ever been a time when we had to try so many things for so many games. We've been distributing a lot of pra for the last 2 years, and we're trying ridiculously to get into these games. It's hard to understand why they don't work all at once.

Crashing to desktop happening because of Windows 11 24H2 update. They couldnt share any patch including this fix yet. Try to disable FG and RTXDI and play without it.

Two things: I'm on Windows 10 2H22, and I'm on a 3090, meaning no FG (still runs butter-smooth, though, 3090 FTW). Turning off RTX DI didn't help, either.

This must be some other issue, but I just can't figure out which setting is causing a crash.

Hello all,

Sorry to hear it that Star Wars Outlaws is crashing on your PCs.

For those who are not on Windows 11 24H2, please try the standard PC troubleshooting steps first:
Troubleshooting technical issues on PC[www.ubisoft.com]

Disable ALL 3rd party, unnecessary applications running in the background, especially 3rd party overlays like GeForce Experience (Nvidia App), Overwolf and Discord but also if you are running a VPN client (even if not connected), close it and kill it's process.
Disabling background applications on PC[www.ubisoft.com]

Disconnect any additional USB devices, other than mouse and keyboard for testing purposes (any USB hubs, headsets etc).

Re-install Visual C++ 2022 redistributable x86 (not x64)
Re-install DirectX libraries
Check the DPI scaling in Windows and set Size and Layout to 100%.

Let us know if any of it helped.

Yes same issue & funny thing is play other DX12 games from these clowns no problems..

You'll be asked to remove your USB Devices, un-plug extra monitors turn off back ground processes blah blah blah only a few games i have crashing issues with & guess who the main developer is you guessed it Ubisoft!

I've put it down to ♥♥♥♥ dev's presumably using AI to cut corners so when problems arise they have no clue how to fix them... Welcome to the 21st century just accept your money has been taken & these guys really don't give a crap about the 10% of people having issues,

Tried all versions of windows 10 + 11 on all service packs, Tried rolling back drivers to the stone age... nothing worked

Its nothing to do with hardware & 100% dev unable to find a resolution

FYI Ubisoft Muppet can't disconnect all USB Devices as some of us have hardware that rely on the usb support like water coolers, RGB Controllers, LCD Screens etc your silly fixes don't work so why continue to recommend them?

Umm solution is :S just don't pc on your pc that will fix it herp derp maybe your better off on a console as we can't really develop games for multiple platforms without ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up

Hey D☮NIZG0N3

Sorry to hear it that nothing of the above troubleshooting steps helps you.

In this case, please generate diagnostic files from your PCs and attach them to a support ticket for analysis:
Generating DxDiag and MsInfo system reports[www.ubisoft.com]

My friend, you are right about almost everything you said. I think the same as you, but we need to continue calmly. Yes, I have been struggling with this problem like you since I bought the game. My time in the game hasn't exceeded 40 seconds yet :) but that shouldn't stop you from listening to someone trying to help you.
It would be better if we convey our anger via Ubisoft's e-mail. My only wish is to play this game as soon as possible. Otherwise I will return it unfortunately.

Shock and amazement, the game from ubi crashes randomly to the desktop, I myself own outlaws only on ubisof connect and I see the same circuses with stability as with valhalla or mirage, with no other games I had such crashes as those from ubi, good thing I bought the game at the price of hoddog, because that's what the game is clearly worth, from what I remember the stability circuses started when ubi threw uplay in the trash and switched to ubiconnect in eternal beta, screwed up a bunch of security features (because of course as you know it improved game sales) and out came some pretty bad unoptimized spaghetti, developers. ..if you want to improve the performance of your game then report to the ubisofconnect technical department and ask them to finally start improving their application, maybe then the games from your publisher will start working stably
