What's frustrating is that other than the crashes, the game runs fine with everything on Ultra. On a 2K monitor, the 3090 eats this game for breakfast.
suddenly stops responding. I don't think there has ever been a time when we had to try so many things for so many games. We've been distributing a lot of pra for the last 2 years, and we're trying ridiculously to get into these games. It's hard to understand why they don't work all at once.
This must be some other issue, but I just can't figure out which setting is causing a crash.
Sorry to hear it that Star Wars Outlaws is crashing on your PCs.
For those who are not on Windows 11 24H2, please try the standard PC troubleshooting steps first:
Troubleshooting technical issues on PC[www.ubisoft.com]
Disable ALL 3rd party, unnecessary applications running in the background, especially 3rd party overlays like GeForce Experience (Nvidia App), Overwolf and Discord but also if you are running a VPN client (even if not connected), close it and kill it's process.
Disabling background applications on PC[www.ubisoft.com]
Disconnect any additional USB devices, other than mouse and keyboard for testing purposes (any USB hubs, headsets etc).
Re-install Visual C++ 2022 redistributable x86 (not x64)
Re-install DirectX libraries
Check the DPI scaling in Windows and set Size and Layout to 100%.
Let us know if any of it helped.
You'll be asked to remove your USB Devices, un-plug extra monitors turn off back ground processes blah blah blah only a few games i have crashing issues with & guess who the main developer is you guessed it Ubisoft!
I've put it down to ♥♥♥♥ dev's presumably using AI to cut corners so when problems arise they have no clue how to fix them... Welcome to the 21st century just accept your money has been taken & these guys really don't give a crap about the 10% of people having issues,
Tried all versions of windows 10 + 11 on all service packs, Tried rolling back drivers to the stone age... nothing worked
Its nothing to do with hardware & 100% dev unable to find a resolution
FYI Ubisoft Muppet can't disconnect all USB Devices as some of us have hardware that rely on the usb support like water coolers, RGB Controllers, LCD Screens etc your silly fixes don't work so why continue to recommend them?
Umm solution is :S just don't pc on your pc that will fix it herp derp maybe your better off on a console as we can't really develop games for multiple platforms without ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up
Sorry to hear it that nothing of the above troubleshooting steps helps you.
In this case, please generate diagnostic files from your PCs and attach them to a support ticket for analysis:
Generating DxDiag and MsInfo system reports[www.ubisoft.com]

It would be better if we convey our anger via Ubisoft's e-mail. My only wish is to play this game as soon as possible. Otherwise I will return it unfortunately.
Thank you for your continued updates on this matter.
With those files provided in cases our team will be able to further investigate the cause and help resolve the issues that you are having so thank you for helping find solutions.
In the mean time, if we can help with anything else, just let us know
