The mini game is off in settings. How do I avoid getting caught, first they get suspicious then I need to use fast talk then caught. Is this random or is there a way to keep cheating without them getting suspicious?

With the mini-game turned off, if you keep cheating, they will always eventually become suspicious and catch you. On the other hand, if you turn the mini-game on and succeed at the mini-game, they won't become suspicious :) .
