Report a translation problem
Some of the contracts may be story-related, but I imagine most are endlessly repeatable. This is the Ubisoft way. Missions never end.
And yes: some contracts are available only if you have good reputation with a faction.
hint: Never switch your beneficiary at the end of the mission; that angers the original missiongiver. Whereas if you simply do the mission for the faction that gave it, nobody gets angered but the missiongiver gives +rep. This way you can be in good standing with all factions at the same time, as long as you do the missions stealthily and dont kill members of the other faction (which would anger them).
(Id say this rep system wasnt well planned because above is possible)
