How do you manage factions?
Hello, what is your relationship with the factions? I wanted to have the best with the Crimson Dawn and Hutt, leaving aside the others with negative reputation, or is it better to raise or lower the reputations as best suits you? What do you do?:CapSta_Commando:

The game is easier if you can get all factions to at least "Good" standing, since it'll let you walk freely into their territory (well except some restricted parts). If you raise your reputation to "Excellent", it will also allow you to loot most of the chests in their territory, which can simplify things a lot too. Other than that, you might need to raise your reputation if you're looking to buy a specific thing from one of the faction vendors.

If you do a few contracts you should be able to offset any reputation loss from your decisions :) .

Yes, I think it's best to keep them in good hands, I think that's the right choice.

I always do the contracts that give me better reputation with the faction that has issued the contract, with no downsides/conflicts with other factions.

With regards to the counter offer you get just before you complete the contract, I can appreciate the choice of screwing over other factions but it was a missed opportunity because the counter offer is always more credits which I can easily get elsewhere. Had the counter offers included unique blaster parts or cosmetics, the choice would be way more interesting and actually useful.

Yes it is true, if I take on an assignment I do not like to betray the client and terminal assignments are very advantageous without negative effects.:GoldDE::TChand:

I am trying to not doublecross any faction, but sometimes it is inevitable to lose reputation with one of them. So I try to do some contracts to maintain a good reputation with all of them.

The game is more forgiving that it seemed to me at the begining. If you are careful, and try to not get caught, it's easy to be in good terms with everyone.

However, once I reach the endgame and I will be playing just for completionist, I plan to go a little berserk and antagonize one of them. Maybe the pikes, never really liked them. :P

Its fairly easy to max them all out by just grinding out a few radiant quests - it's boring but it gives you rep and money as long as you don't double-cross at the end. There are story moments that will cause an unavoidable large hit to one faction but if you were max'd out at the time even that won't kick you out of "good" iirc

Managing factions is very simple: Just don't change the beneficiary of the mission. ie. Do the mission for the faction who originally hired you.

When you start a mission for faction A and finish it, faction A gets reputation boost. Nobody gets negative reputation (at least if you aren't caught/cause an alarm).

However if you switch the faction as you are finishing the mission, faction B gets rep boost but faction A, the original faction, gets reputation penalty. Ergo: changing is bad.
