If you scan the area it tells you too look for the cargo you will probably see a crate icon come up, sometimes you have to move around and do a few scans. When you find and pick up the correct package it will tell you and then you go wherever the arrow tells you to go next. If you don't see anymore arrows in your current system, open the screen to calculate a hyperspace jump and if one of the locations has a yellow arrow next to it, then you have everything you need from the current system to continue the mission in the next system. When you arrive there will be another arrow telling you where to go next, likely a drop off point under a satellite.
Im not a fan of space combat in this game or vague mission briefings.
