Can I force a save?
I HATE and DESPISE forced checkpoints - unless they marketed this as souls-like which its not..
Is there any way I can force a save? The "Save Game" shows "Cannot save right now"

You can only force a save when you are not in a restricted area or in combat.

Probably Ubisoft's way to not want people to "save scum", which is dumb. Players should be able to save whenever they want. I can understand not saving in combat, but everywhere else should be made possible.

You have to finish the intro mission, landed on the first world where the game takes you to automatically and done a few missions there before you can save manually. The "cannot save right now" confused me as well at first.

My post answered your question already. Takes a couple hours playing the game before you can save on your own.

Yeah, the intro is still going on on the second world, you'll be able to save once you finish the "Underworld" main mission :) .

You weren't always able to shoot it out when in restricted areas. So in locations where getting spotted meant getting caught and ejected from an area, saving inside could get you stuck in a getting caught loop. Same reason a lot of games don't let you jump while you're in the air, so you're not likely to get stuck loading your game an instantly falling into a pit.
