Take your own advise and shut up yourself. And you clearly are reading. I am not you 'bro' and could be non-binary as far as you know.
But even so, there is fun to be had playing in an open world Star Wars AC game. (but as somebody said earlier... The game doesn't really start til 1-2 hours in, cutting it close to that refund window)
Is the game on Gamepass? If so, that might be the best bet.
-Not be able to play ND-5, the robot companion. It's sad we don't have duality sneaking (Kay) and enforcer (ND-5). Everyone talk about the fact you cannot chose the sex of your character. For me, I don't care, but why the created a cool character like ND-5 and be so less present ? I wish the sequel (if they do it) will let us play ND-5 or, at least, keep it with us during all the game.
-The base gun of Kay is terrible. It's more fun to play with the gun you can get on enemies bodies.
-Not the possibility to work for the Empire. Really a missed opportunity for me. That's make no sense, because she accept to work with criminals organisations.
-Not helmet or armor. They could, at least, gived them for cosmetic use.
-No cockpit view for the ship. What a shame. They only do one ship for the player. They should have added this option.
- I don't feel the Empire is terrible. They do the policing and protect people against pirates. For the moment, I didn't see any brutality from the imperial, like hit people on the street without and abusing of their power.
-Meaningless choice. I don't have the feeling I have a impact on the story or the galaxy.
-Release the game in a good state, next time. They asked for lot of money in exchange of their game, so have the right to have high expectations.
Good game, I played it on Xbox and I recommand the game, but not a full price. I think a 50% is the worthy price for this game.
I wish we will see Kay again, but I don't have great hope for a sequel.
I like the main character and nix is a very clever companion.
I understand that its not perfect but I’m old, I can live with that.
I agree with you. Overall is a good game. It's even better with the recent update. But at the end, they should had deliver the game in the actual state, at least. Also, the game is good, but lot of mechanics are not enough deep, like the factions wars (we have not impact on the universe or we cannot work for the Empire), not able to have more gears, no cockpit view for the ship, didn't let the player play with ND-5 (directly or indirectly like Nix).
If we get a more deep sequel with lot of improvements, I will be really happy, but for the moment, I don't think we will see Kay in the next years (in a UbiSoft game, perhaps Disney will do something with the character). Still a good game with lot of qualities, but I totaly understand why the game flopped. At 90$, players waiting for more than this.
I still love AC: Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla for the open world design. Actually keep them installed as it is nice to pop back in and play even years later.
Add to the list Ghost Recon Wildlands for an massive open world based upon the real country of Bolivia. GR: Wildlands is my favorite for open world in an UbiSoft game.
Even the world of Avatar, at times empty is still fun to explore but after 50+ hours playing Outlaws, there is no way it's so-called open worlds (more like large zones) compare to the above games. And there seems no point in exploring beyond the quests as no real surprises. Just feels so built to a budget and not creative design and love.
Yeah, I agree. For me, the biggest problem with the open world of Star Wars Outlaws it's feel dead, if you compare to others UbiSoft products. The imperial occupation feel not that terrible in Outlaws. I didn't see any arrest of citizens from the empire, no abuse of power from the stormtroopers or officers. Okay, sometime they raid pirates camps, but they are pirates, not civilian. So at the end, I don't feel they Empire is so bad, if you except the corruption of the governor of Toshara. I played a lot of Assassin Creed III on Wii U and the British occupation of New England seems way more realist. It's not normal than a 2011 did better on this. You feel the occupation, with the important number of troops patrolling the cities or there altercations with the locals.
Also, now with Star Wars Disney, men and women have the parity inside the Empire (I remember the biography of Natasi Daala in Star Wars Rebellion and the game said it's one on the only women in the Empire. So, perhaps I am wrong, but I always thinked it's why lot of women joined the Rebellion and not the Empire) . I try to see what is now so problematic with the Empire and I don't see it, except the corruption and the lack of democracy (but it's was also one of the problem of the Republic, no ? )
It's strange because one of the thing Disney Star Wars did great in the feeling of oppression the Empire give, mostly in Rogue One. I don't if it is the fault of Disney or Ubisoft for the lack of violence from the Empire. I think it's Ubisoft because the start of Fallen Order reflect perfectly what the Empire should be depicted.
I think maybe next year it will keep dropping so Ill wait
- losing all my saved games to BSOD and forced to start over because Ubisoft didn't implement Steam Cloud saving
- clicking endlessly in sync with the lockpicking animation and still can't pick the locks
- getting kicked out of Imperial territory (and losing credits) even if I want to shoot Stormtroopers after a failed stealth approach
- starting over the stealth infiltration of a crime syndicate base for the tenth time because I can't afford to lose reputation with them and somehow they notice me even if I distract a guard with Nix and attack him in brawl/stealth mode
- getting hit by crazy speeder pilots in a settlements while talking to a merchant on the street (it is not fatal but still)
but i suggest everyone who wants to buy the game read my BUGs posts..
there are some bugs really making the game annoying. the worst one is you cannot do 2 missions at the same location. you have to do 1 by 1 which means visiting the same place 2 or 3 times
