Is this game fun, and worth 44.99?
I enjoyed Cyberpunk before 2.0, after they fixed a lot of the performance issues on PC. Once 2.0 came, everyone was like ; "this is what the game should have been" - which I'm sure is true... but the game was already fun before it, i think it was a very bandwagony mindset... is this game in that same situation? Fun and enjoyable, but the dominant public opinion determines it's half baked?

I am definitely having a lot of fun with the game. But I am a huge Star Wars fan, so I could be a little biased here...

If you're not a SW fan, there's still Shadow of Mordor , which is less buggy, has more content and has a lower price tag.
You're welcome.

Why would anyone play this if they don't like Star Wars?

Just feels like Ubisoft tends to decrease their price tags lately on Steam. So I was wondering if this is something that will probably happen here, or if this is actually a good game for the current price. :D

Depends if you're a Star Wars hardcore fan, or if you have high level of tolerance to cringeness, there's a lot here, but it could be worse, I guess.

Suicide Squad is currently with 95% discount, but I would never get that pile of crap even for free. For some reason I can see this becoming a trend in games that are affected by SBI, would be better to wait and see.

They almost always come down in price if you wait long enough. Let the early adopter Day 1 people be the guinea pigs and spend the most for the most buggy version.

Yes. If you liked Cyberpunk 2077 you will like it a lot.

Just make sure you finish the intro (leaving Kay's home planet and getting the hover bike, it takes about 1-2H) it gets really good after. You will know you're there when the gang reputation system gets introduced.

It's a very mediocre game, as is everything from Ubisoft. It's serviceable. The scenery is decent. The gameplay is like every other Ubisoft game you've ever played, but worse. Worse shooting than Far Cry, worse stealth than Assassin's Creed, worse story than the aforementioned, just as generic as generic gets. But like it's Star Wars, so if you're into that then it's a decent enough time. You'll get bogged down in side missions and random intel. If you're completionist like me, then you'll get tired of all the running to and fro to do things and use fast travel as much as possible. You'll still spend a LOT of time on a speeder.

Star Wars is my exception. I try to get 1 hour played out of every $1 I spend, and it appears I'll get that out of this if I go achievement hunting. But Star Wars is my exception to get a $60 game with an 8 hour campaign in it because I love the universe. If you fit into that, then this is worth it for you. If you're really out here trying to bargain hunt or look for a masterpiece of a game like Baldur's Gate 3, The Witcher 3, etc, then you shouldn't be looking at Ubisoft games to begin with.

If what I've said resonates, then go for it. Otherwise, wait for a big sale and snatch it like 3-6 months from now when they're trying to snipe money out of those that wouldn't pay full price for their mediocrity. Either way, up to you. You'll get hours out of it

atmosphere is through the roof. like being in a Star Wars movie. so I can't speak to the gameplay and progression and this because it's early

but the game is like being in a Star Wars movie

It's "fun" if you like Star Wars, but as a game it feels clunky.

Lots of things feel very 'mechanical' but if you enjoy exploration and taking in the sights, you should enjoy it. Just don't expect to enjoy the combat too much, it feels .... off.

Played it for 50 hours + and I have to say NO.

it's a museum game and barely that, cause it doesn't even look the part.

Is not fun, but you get to visit full Tatooine.
Diernayr Dec 1, 2024 @ 7:00am
The game is worth $20 OP.

I just bought Suicide Squad deluxe edition for $5 for comparison.

Yes. I wish Cyberpunk had been done like this.
