Also, you don't own the game on Steam. Have you played it elsewhere, or do you base your comments on what others say? Lastly, if you don't like something, speak for yourself. You don't represent all "gamers."
Exactly! Except for: The players are not leaving but instead keep moaning about everything, even things that are a matter of taste. They even verbally attack other guests/players for enjoying the game and being positive about it.
In real life, the security staff would show such people the exit. In forums, mods are doing that. And I appreciate them for doing so. This hasn't anything to do with freedom of speech. Such people can go elsewhere and can keep moaning and ranting all day if they wish.
And yes, the game has issues, and I'm also reporting them myself. But I'm not turning into a Karen when doing so.
There's an actress called Humberly Gonzàles who was supposed to be Kay Vess, but the character was completely changed, it looks more like a man. The same, didn't apply to Cameron Monaghan who gives life to Cal Kestis in Jedi Fallen Order. Why you ignored this comparison? What you said does not make sense.
You know there's people who are not able to play games due to many reasons, even health issues, right?! What you just said seems quite offensive, since I do know people who didn't liked the game but enjoy watching others playing. Everyone has the right to have an opinion. Watch what you say, that wasn't cool, ok?!
All I said is a overview in the gaming community, myself included, don't see why to point that out.
Players are not leaving, yeah, many didn't bothered to get there anyway, watch the sales numbers on steam. Game released with discount and still bad.
Now, I never said anything bad about others playing whatever they wanted, all my criticism is towards the game and bad decisions made by the developers. I'll never agree with badmouthing other players, regardless of their tastes in game.
On the other hand, I'm from an era in which players had feuds with their preferences like Sonic or Mario, King of Fighter or Street Fighter, Need for Speed or Gran Turismo. The worst disputes was between players of FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer, but that never stoped people to enjoy and play their games.
The internet wasn't a thing for many years, in gaming arcades, video game rentals stores and later in lan houses, we had disputes to which game was the best and worst. Now is all about "safe space" and "I do not feel comfortable with others opinions", wtf is wrong with the world?! Just because someone disagrees doesn't meant to be offensive, it is their preference! We're talking about games!
Gamers should not take to their hearts if someone dislike their tastes, should care only in having fun. It's pointless to discuss.
Jennifer Hale voiced the female version of Commander Shepherd in Mass Effect, but the stock character looks nothing like her. Ms. Hale also voices Bastilia Shan in KOTOR, who also looks nothing like her. There is simply nothing unusual about not having a character look like the voice actor. It's more unusual when they do look like the actor.
You're awfully sensitive but you have no problem saying that the character looks like a man. Just saying that doesn't make it true. To me, and I think most objective people, she looks like a normal person.
Kay is supposed to be tough, she's a thief, and also a killer. She isn't supposed to be there to be a femme fatale. She doesn't use looks to get her way, so why is it such a big issue
Funny you talking about Mass Effect in which you can customize the main character. Remember Miranda Lawson? Yvonne Strahovski dubed and give her image and was a good side character there, loved by most.
I don't get it these excuses about a time when games had not the same graphics power we have today but still done a good job portraying actors, and now that's not a thing anymore, which is quite odd, huh?!
Kay is a failed incompetent thief who's relying mostly on Nix which to me, is the only one carrying the game, she would be nothing without him. Nix is the best!
The game looks less like early access since some things got solved, but there's still many weak points that I hope be adressed later on by DLC or mod community, hopefuly!
This is not about a "safe space". This is about an atmosphere for the people who are interested in this game. Look, this is the type of people nobody needs:
This guy adds nothing to the conversation, uses the slurs, and is even off-topic. He deserves a warning and should get kicked out if he doesn't change his attitude.
We're talking about games. If you don't like it, don't buy it and move on. Leave a bad review if you feel like it. But don't stay and act like a Karen because the protagonist doesn't match your taste. The devs are unlikely to change that for you.
I didn't like the look and feel of Mass Effect. Hence, I didn't play the game and moved on. There are so many other games out there...
One even proclaimed himself a "proud gatekeeper". WTF?
Of maybe, the people who wanted it from the beginning just bought it on Epic or Ubisoft. Steam isn't the be-all-and-end-all of gaming. While I have most of my games here on Steam, I have plenty of others elsewhere.
*looks at date*
Yeah... that's nice
It's a video game...not a movie...people like to customize their character.
