KOTOR Remake
Do you think the remake will ever see the light of day?
The devs insist everything is moving ahead nicely and i hope that’s true. Kotor is my favourite SW game. Massive worlds to explore and the freedom to choose your own character and forge your own path.
You can be a Han Solo type, a Jedi or a Sith, or a combination of all three.

Sadly, no.

It all depends on who gets the green light to make it. One group wanted to make it faithful, and it was taken away to a cheaper group. Strangely enough when it was stated that the second group wanted to revise it for "modern audiences", it got put on indefinite hold.

Just play SWTOR at that point, tho the combat is pretty boring. No idea why more SW games didn't just copy the combat from Jedi Academy instead.

Jedi Academy was pure fun.

It’s on hold?!

Hopefully BioWare and Obsidian will never touch that series again.
Imagine if they modernized it as a shallow action adventure made for console..... I am sure they would not respects its old lore either.

Let the legendary games rest in peace... Don´t give them any ideas about reviving it..

It’s got to be getting a remaster, Aspyr seem to be working their way through the Star Wars back catalog.

Officially no, I think it's developed by Saber now

Unless they can build an AI to do the job American's can't do, because they have the talent and laziness of an ascending twurd, the answer is a big brown messy no.

Turn-based games are super niche, I know I wouldnt buy it. I know its a great game but the audience wouldnt justify the cost.

Wasn’t there a Final Fantasy remake that incorporated original turn based controls and modern real-time action? That seems like the best way to go, satisfying everybody.

That would be the way to go. I bought KOTOR like 20 years ago, had no clue it was turn-based and promptly returned it to gamestop.

I had it for Xbox. Even at the time i thought it was a little odd because other games in the system like Fable were real time. It just felt so archaic to me. The rest of the fame was so good though i stuck with it and eventually learned to love it. I can remember all those “misses” everytime i took a swing at a guy standing right in front of me
Yes it will, we don't know when though.
Saber confirmed that.
