Pleasantly surprised with the positive reviews and 75 Metacritic score?
I heard game was supposed to be crap? From bug-wise to story-wise etc.

What happened to all the naysayers then?

On a personal note I just want a game with Firefly crew vibes, if it comes close to that it's pretty much a must play for me.

Rather than just bash on the game some more, here's why this is actually happening.

This is what is called the "survivor bias".
You can only post a review when you've actually bought the game.
A lot of people have already seen what this game has to offer and opted out from the start.
This effect is strengthened by the fact that it's already been released for a while. People had more time to make an informed choice before buying it on Steam. And people just generally not liking what current day Star Wars has to offer. The result is that all the people posting reviews have been heavily pre-selected to have a positive look on the game. The rest already fell off before the purchasing step of the review process.

Name AAA games in last 8 years better than playstation 2's top sellers AAA.

- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Baldur's Gate 3
- God of War
- Elden Ring
- Doom Eternal
- Ghost of Tsushima
- Spider-Man
- Metro Exodus
- Horizon Zero Dawn
- Persona 5
- Titanfall 2

I avoided remakes and remasters, and clearly, you are so wrong, but I do admit that nostalgia is powerful.

RDR2 is good. Rest are mid.

"Good" is an insane understatement, wish I could check your library to see what games you are into if you consider all the rest of them mid.

To be fair i also intentionally play games I consider mid-bad. When it comes to games of my taste and I consider peak would be stuff like Noita, Factorio, RImworld, Terraria then older games stuff like tony hawk games, ps2 ratchet and clank, jak and daxter, kingdom hearts 2, age of empires 2 and 3, stuff like that. Occasionally playthrough something old i havent ever played like MGS1 a year ago and enjoyed it. I play a variety of games but typically 500+ or 1000's of hrs into single games.

For context on how i feel about certain games, I like cyberpunk 2077 but i think its mid and bad. Its about misses and weird failures/short comings.

I have a inkling either there are a lot of bought reviews and/or steam started hidding some negative reviews for cash from certain companies...

"IF" they do it, they obviously are not hidding all negative reviews, they know this would be too obvious. A game on steam has to be at least mostly positive. A "mixed review" is usually a death sentence, something ubisoft can't afford.

Very good point, as a daytrader I love me a cognitive bias, lol.

Shame we can't trust gaming journos though. I see fake hype about upcoming games on a daily basis from Youtubers as well, who are just happy to get those keys for free.

Fair enough, I respect the indie love :praisesun: and I do understand the rating criteria if we start comparing these games to indie titles. That is why I usually separate them.

I'm currently playing SW Outlaws on PS5 and enjoying the game a lot. :BL3Thumbsup:

But why? There are better options even for similar things. This goes to why i dont watch new tv or shows often older stuff is better since old = more time = more good stuff due to time allowing more to have been produced that is good.

Don´t get tricked!! Yeah, for sure giving Steam users the normal features everyone else has it´s a step on the right direction. But it´s a very very small step, forcing Uplay and Denuvo for Steam users it´s still quite bad.

And on a personal note, I just feel Ubisoft needs to change their model, their maps with a gazillion irrelevant icons for collectibes, towers and what not it´s a real meme, and so are their HUDs. The way they over-exploit any of their franchise with a minimun succcess while leaving behind everything else it´s also something to behold.

For me, they still have a long road ahead before I buy any of their products again.

That is false. Several people purchase the game, leave a negative review, and then refund it at the last minute.

Yes, that does happen in some cases. But both can be happening at the same time. (This can also be done the opposite way. Buy the game just to leave a good review and then refund because you don't care about the game, just the politics).
Also if large scale review bombing would be going on (positive or negative), I would expect far more reviews than the 100-ish that it currently has. As stated before, the game has been out for a while already. The majority of people have already moved on.

I usually ignore private, non-avatar profiles and discard them as bot ramblings, but you do make a lot of sense here.

Star wars outlaws is on a better than the realase on ubisoft connect , but even i like the game this need some polish , bug fix and performance issues

Division 2 was the same deal at launch , Avatar of pandora ..
and there's both great game

my worry even ubisoft can fix , add some new feature on certain aera they can't deo nothing now , for example the "bizarre"/strange chara design of the main character ..
or the game ( may be because of disney ) is a bit too soft , even old Lego star wars have more mature contents and gore elements xD

i see star wars oultaws , a game with a lot potentiel but on few erea it feel rushed , not well exploited , great visuals , great cinematique , some dood cliff hanger but too "soft" ,timid , limited on the story telling , gameplay , ..
