Does anyone know if it's at least playable on Steam deck?
I'm not expecting it to be steam deck verified, but was wondering if it's at least playable on Steam deck now that they ported it to Steam. Does anyone have any information on those for sure? I don't want to buy the game and to be out the money because it turns out it's not playable. I'm steam deck. When I look at the store page it just says steam deck compatibility unknown

I tried it on my regular steam deck on experimental proton and I works fine but it crashes/freezes about every hour, sometimes the game freezes when you load your previous save. Also the controls do not work for the game at all. You either have to use a pro controller or edit the controls in the settings. I’m also experiencing another problem in the steam deck. Every time I boot up the game it will say in the Ubisoft launcher “ unable to start the game. this product cannot be activated, please try again later” I tried verifying the files but I’m still having the same problem. The only way to play the game on stream deck is by downloading Gforce Now but it requires to always be connected to Wifi. I guess you’ll have to wait for a few more patches to make it work well.

Downloading g force? I'm sorry I don't understand what you mean. This is unfortunate to hear. For example, when I played it before, I dual booted into Windows off an external SSD and launched the game that way and it played just fine. But I was hoping to not have to rely on dual booting from an ex-rom drive anymore. Has that seems to drain the batteries really fast because it has to power the external drive as well.

GeForceNow is a cloud gaming service that’s purpose is to make games you own have better performance by using their servers. However like I said before it requires wifi connection for it to work
Any updates to this or any better luck with running is on steamOS I've had pretty good luck using Windows on an external SSD drive and booting up from that and playing the games that I'd prefer just to be able to run it through Steam Dex OS directly without having to use an external drive in a separate operating system. That way all money gain achievements and everything right now in place. I'm one client. Was hoping after this much time has passed and as they've started to release the DLC story headaches that perhaps there have been some improvements in this area or it's now finally possible to do so? If so, I'd like to repurchase it on Steam but haven't done so yet because my esteem deck is my only mode for steam right now

They have a free demo you can try out.

It’s also a bit annoying that they’re launching it on Switch 2 but haven’t found a way to make it playable on Steam Deck yet.

Switch 2 is notably more capable then the deck though in terms of the hardware inside though isn't it, so that would makes sense.
