And who pays the developers' wages? I don't get these comments. If you're interested in the game, buy it. If it's not to your liking, don't. AAA games can't cost 5$ for a plethora of reasons. Do some research on how much it costs to develop a video game of this scale. Or maybe try developing your own video game of this scale and sell it for 5$.
I understand that paying 50-80$ for a video game can hurt the wallet.
It's an expensive hobby these days. Same goes for those who develop games. Plenty of hobbies out there that are less expensive so everyone should find something suitable to spend his free time on.
Lots of indie games out there too that don't cost as much and offer a fun time.
To each his own. But we gotta stay realistic. 5$ for a game that costs millions to make is not realistic.
