Why did they make the protagonist ugly?

I know it was done on purpose in favor of their dei policies. I even venture to say that they did a facial scan and digitally deformed the woman they used for the game to make her look ugly.

Because that's the only type of "woman" they know how to create. Rugged masculine half-assed design, aimed to normalize the concept of ugliness in games. Big surprise, nobody is buying/playing it.

Rather, the look of any human being, since imagine that the protagonist is full of scars, missing an eye and instead of a patch, blood and stitches... It will disturb you and you will find it unpleasant to see it, no matter how heterosexual you are. The same thing happens to women when they see the face of the protagonist.

They did the same thing in TLOU2. Literally taking naturally beautiful women, and then deforming them to look so hideous that they aren't even recognisable as part of the human species. This new trend of uncanny valley-fying women is ruining the original goal of making them desirable protagonists.
