Drone camera, cine and FPV
With the cinematographic mode, the "drone" would try to keep a fixed height above the ground, preferring to maintain a fixed position and just gimbal the camera to follow the vehicle (with a small lag to give a sense of acceleration) as long as the vehicle doesn't get too close or too far.

If the vehicle gets too close, if there is time, the drone will just pull back to the desired distance range (configurable), if the vehicle is coming too fast, the drone will fly up to avoid collision. And if the vehicle gets too far, the drone will follow, with speed ramping up as distance from the desired range increases. This all moving smoothly, taking in consideration the inertia and stuff of the drone.

For the FPV mode, the camera is fixed, and the drone will fly around, doing it's best to keep the vehicle in frame most of the time, but performing various artistic moves like good FPV pilots do when chasing cars and stuff.

Ideally, for both modes, the drone will account for obstacles for planning trajectories, both to avoid collisions, as well as for keeping the vehicle in view of the camera unoccluded as much as possible.
