The slider with the checkered pattern changes the chrominess
However, those results doesnt just appear over night, everything takes time and some things will and has to be prioritized over others, for instance making the physics right in a physics simulation game.
I doubt it that the devs are so poorly gifted, that they havent spotted the obvious imperfections regarding the visuals of their game, so it seems most reasonable to assume that they simply chose to prioritize more important things first.
Id love to see better gfx as well, like who doesnt? Yet I cope with that by enjoying the parts of this game that makes it great and unique, while it gets further developed and eventually receive some graphical overhaul thatll make the whole experience even better. :-)
Visuals and materials a huge beast. A change in them can break all content relying on the old system. While that is not much a problem for our content, mods (all of them) risk to be broken instantly. Keeping retro-compatibility has its pros and cons.
Said that, changes that would avoid breaking things will more likely be done, but we have pretty much considered all the side-cases already.
About OP question, you can choose the chrominess of a vehicle from the color selector.
He did try the chrominess which I too suggested, yet its not quite what hes looking for and that brought me to the response i posted above. :-)
