Tech Demo
I just downloaded the Tech Demo. Really liked it, but the performance is HORRIBLE (Edit: very bad. Got 15 fps and a little less input lag on a later try), while my pc should be able to run it.
Although my Geforce 210 might be the bottleneck xD

But I was curious how up to date that demo is. Has there been many improvements since the Tech Demo was released? And is there a reason to assume that performance will improve when buying the game?

(I'm thinking about upgrading to a new pc, so performance isn't the biggest issue, but tech demo was also very glitchy for me...)

There were literally TONS of updates and improvements, 'cause TechDemo (v0.3.0) was released in aug'13, and latest alpha (v0.3.4) is from july'14, and there's experimental build (current v0.3.6.9) that goes live every month or something like that and has lots of new awesome stuff.
I can actually play latest version (alpha 0.3.4) at mid-low settings with 30+ fps on $600 notebook I bought 3 years ago. And techdemo was causing lag spikes and 20+-5 fps.

TLDR - Tech demo is old and buggy and bulky, new versions are faster, better, stronger. Buy it :3 It costs only $20 on beamng.com

The game has 8km*8km maps and you can fly planes in here!

Hm... you had a 50% increase in FPS. Of course it doesn't have to be the same for me, but if it is I'll maybe have 23 fps tops.

I think I'll just at least wait until I have my new pc to be safe. Price is reasonable, I'm sure I'll love this game, but performance is extremely poor right now.

Btw if the devs are reading this, the minimum requirements on the store page are a bit low I think. I´ve got a 2.0 ghz dual core with 4gb ram and a GeForce 210. Can't say how the newer version performs, but it still seems a little low to me.

(Edited. FPS were higher when I tried again)

Performance still isn't great but it is better than it was a year ago, and gets better with each build. It still is not ready for release, but still a good fun game.

A good processor is the key to this game because the physics put more work on processors. Good looking games put more work on the graphic card.

Yea I'm buying a pc with an i5 so that should take care of the problems I think xD
