The software that you just tested is under the 'experimental' branch. That means that the software in its the current state is exactly what we are working on at this point in time. There are lots of bugs, problems and half implemented features which we are working on towards the next stable release.
Please opt out of the experimental beta if you don't want the unfinished, latest stuff.
Thanks a lot,
Your BeamNG team :)
there is a reason it's called EXPERIMENTAL, its going to be, oh yeah, EXPERIMENTAL, why is that so hard to understand
yeah lots of people have a hard time understanding this in early access
1: As we all (should) know this is early access, and their releases have actually been pretty stable considering.
2: Besides the stable alpha they released experimental branch, which is excactly what the title implies: experimental! Don't expect anything else! We are lucky to get the latest insight of the development progress.
3: If you want stable, uninstall and reinstall to stable branch. It should be pretty clear.
You're being so unappreciative! The devs have released a lot of cool stuff in this update, give them a chance to fix the bugs in their EXPERIMENTAL release. They are doing a damn good job, you should thank them and try to understand what lies behind these releases... And most of all, try to understand the terminology and how software development work...
I just can't understand how people miss this... You are not entitled to your complaints! They explained this already!
I just hope we will still get our experimental releases as usual from now on...
I am not saying that I want to uninstall the experimental version but I really thought this was rushed and untested and I expect to see better quality from you.
KEEP FIXING BUGS PLEASE!!!
Thanks!
The whole point of the experimental version, is that it is whatever the devs happen to be IN THE MIDDLE of working on, even if it IS broken, the stable version is for the polished, kind of complete stuff.
The reason that experimental exists is that, over on their forums, users were begging for the half broken, very buggy, completely unfinished stuff that the devs were working on, so that they could play with it while the devs are working on it, rather than having to wait for months for the polished, semi-complete, less buggy stable build to come out.
The reason it feels rushed, is simply because it's SUPPOSED to be spewed out whenever a dev has a made little progress, and has a few minutes to compile and spew out a build, so OF COURSE it's very buggy. That is simply what the community asked for.
If you want a stable, semi-complete experience, then stick with the stable build, the experimental build is PURELY for those who DON'T MIND dealing with getting around game breaking bugs to play with the unfinished new toys ;)
