BeamNG police sirens turning on by itself
i was just driving a cop car around and when the ai starts fleeing from me the sirens turn on and of by itself idk if this is just a bug or what but it was not mentioned in the patch notes pls help

Same problem here. No idea whats going on.

My theory is that the criminals are somehow hacking into the light bar.

better than not getting any warning that someone is fleeing from you until they escape right?

Gremlins xD I need to watch those movies again now.
I noticed that too I think its to supplement impromptu sandbox cop car chases but I'd prefer a way to disable it, or make it voluntary by requiring your patrol flashers on before the fleeing AI kicks in.

I agree, I found it quite annoying and unnecessary.

I think it was noted in patch notes for the newest update under AI & traffic "Implemented behavioral tweaks for civilian and police traffic vehicles".

Decided to send an email to BeamNG Support enquiring about this.
Why are you driving a police car with AI if you don't want to chase them? "shift + n" should shut the sirens off if you are on a donut break or something.

Then they turn back on. I turn them off. They turn back on. Repeat twice. Then they stay off.
So there it is, you had to radio in to the command center that the donuts are more important than the escaping criminal. Copy.

for me its that I do want chases, but for one when I turn it off it turns back on, and two, I have a mod for improved lights and sirens. This new thing prevents that from working properly while on a chase. Also, my donut breaks are important.
