Anyways... I also have an Xbone Controller. You want the deadzone as low as possible without the stick inputing controls by itself. Adjusting the steering linearity can make it easier to do fine steering control.
The biggest issue is, you always have full control over the wheel, unlike most games where the faster you go, the more the steering is dampened. Having the ability to go full-lock at high speeds can be fun, but also make it chalenging to drive.
EDIT: Found it, you click on the actual button it's bound to to open the settings window.
Linearity: 3; you'll want to change this to your liking.
Deadzone begin: -0.1; End: 0.1
Scale: 1
Okay, that's all I needed really. Just the basics, so then I can adjust them to my liking. Yeah, I clocked up 410 hours on Gran Turismo 6 a few days ago, and the way I drive on that has almost marked the way that I drive in any game that envolves a wheel!
Thanks a lot mate, appreciated :)
Linearity: 1.3 or 1.4
Deadzone: -0.15 and 0.15
Xbox Controllers doesn't really have the most precise sticks out here. They have huge issues with their deadzones.
I noticed that, but I just thought it was only my controller. Thanks!
Actulally, the Xbox One controller has great sticks, which is what OP and I have.
What? I can't find it!
