How is FFB steering wheel with BeamNG?
Hello folks!

How is the force feedback in Beam? Been interested for a long time and before pulling ze trigger i just want to know roughly how the FFB is on decent wheels. It doesnt matter if its not top notch. I dont expect it to be. I just wonder roughly how it feels/is.

Thanks! :)

It's good, it feels responsive and precise, not too dissimilar to what I get in assetto corsa(depending on the settings), there are a couple of downsides, there are still some "noise" complaints, though that might be mostly with gear driven wheels, feels fine on my t300, not perfect, but I like a little bit of vibration going through my hands(I have smoothing set to 0), and there is barely any customisation, you really only have a strength setting and a smoothing setting, from what I understand the devs try to get as much direct communication between the physics engine and the wheel, hence the limited settings, but yeah, not much customisation, you can also set the strength setting individually for any car, cars can feel vastly different, but this is a strong point really, cars can be vastly different in Beamng, there's also power steering and it affects FFB quite realistically.

No problem, hope you "pull the trigger".

I can tell you from a gamepad user yes i know its irrelevant but the vibration settings are for me light years ahead of anything, every little nuance and undulation on the road surface is felt and i can only imagine it to even more detailed using a wheel.

If you havent pull the trigger, now is the time, ive only been playing since December and ive clocked 70 hours already.

Thanks guys!

One tiny question more: I saw the offroad driving over rocks - can you set a route to drive with start and end point and thus have a time trial that you made? Would love that with the offroad going over some tough rocks and such. Or is everything just drive for funzies? Cheers! :lunar2019coolpig:
