The only think I was only able to find was, you have to change the Emitters in the game presumably from the map editer, though I wasnt able to get anything to change the smoke amount on the radiator. I think on effect with tire smoke as well.
changing the Emitters in the map editer might only be changing the map settings
and as cmd stated, take your car for a swim if you need to

I knew it was in the editor menu didnt work last time I tried, ill try again, the only post I found years ago on the BeamNG forum where just people telling you 'why would you want to do that' and just remove the radiator
