Joystick Axis For Shifter Inputs
Hello, I made a custom shifter from a joystick and am having difficulty mapping the axis inputs for up / down shift.

It worked great in Dirt Rally 2.0 but I can't get it to work in this game. Has anybody had success with this? Are there any workarounds to get the joystick axis to work?

(Think pitch up = shift up, pitch down = shift down on a flight stick)

I might be overthinking this but how would an axis mapping be used to shift? I figured only buttons could be assigned to this. For example, my wheel has up/down paddles. But those are buttons. Ok fine, I have a TH8A shifter and it's set to the H pattern plate. Those still are not axis's, still gates with contacts that trigger a "button pressed" input AFAIK.

Not great at this but you might need to have a "button press" input to actually trigger a shift up/down. I made a USB controller type thing too a couple years back for simming. It was a button panel and key ignition. Worked for Beam funny enough. I did have to run it through a USB panel thing, as well as using Joy2Key to convert the signals. Hope it helped
