BeamMP Significantly Worse Performance?
Disclaimers:
1. My computer is under the minimum recommended system specs and I'm not in a position where upgrading it is feasible, nor am I expecting some magic fix to give me a huge performance improvement. That's not what I'm asking about.
2. I know BeamMP (as a mod) isn't official content, isn't made or endorsed by the devs, and as such isn't guaranteed to be stable and so on. That's also not what I'm asking about.


Anyway...
I've been messing around with BeamMP recently, and I've noticed that I get significantly worse performance (like, 15+fps loss, which is a big deal when I only get around 25-30 to begin with) when in multiplayer than when I am in single player, even if there are only a few other people in the server. I'm fairly certain it's not the vehicles, because I can run around in single player with a steady 5-6 vehicles of traffic or other AI spawned in with little impact, but multiplayer seems to cause a big performance hit anyway.

Is this just a characteristic that BeamMP has, or do I need to tweak something in my settings somewhere to make it work a little smoother?

My best guess is that its due to the fact that the AI cars spawned in single player use a simplified geometry mesh to make things easier to run, but in MP, all cars that are spawned are "max quality" if that makes any sense.

so u are the one causing the rest of us to lag when we normally have no issues in MP.
