game is dated
graphics are dated, the damage isn't realistic on every car that has been implemented i hope the devs are considering a new game engine at this point BeamNG will always survive because of the popularity in the TikTok and Shorts scene but at the end of the day it isn't that great anymore destined to be the new rigs of rods....... an old gem with mediocre game mechanics

Im not trying to be negative but simply looking at the facts use any car with a tube frame or parts made of tubes you will see what i mean they get flattened and stretched as opposed to bending realistically and i think that's only one of the minor issues BeamNG will always have.

tires have no inside, i feel like this would be as simple as enabling a two sided mesh but hey what do i know lets just leave the tires as having invisible insides

characters that aren't static would be super hard to implement with the same level of realism and detail that the vehicles provide

constantly my car tires are sucked into guard rails or other small objects if you stay to close to them (i'm assuming this is just a fault of the design of the physics in general as it happens with trees aswell)

all that being said the game is fun, ive logged many many hours cruising around bashing my cars up and just enjoying the game

BeamNG started as a tech demo and it still feels like a tech Demo career mode feels underwhelming and underpolished and more of a mod than anything

i feel like the physics are holding the game back to an extent as well we clearly aren't going to have tracked vehicles or boats or planes or they would have been added in some way by now (i know mods exist and the boats planes and tracked vehicle mods are garbage)

this is your review of the game you love so much you put 12k hours into, yup brain rot checks out you copy pasted a generic check box review it makes total sense that you can't actually come up with an opinion because when you tried you basically puked copy pasta onto a review and called it a day, you have 12k hours in a game yes you need to touch grass my guy imagine meeting someone and they are like "i have 12k hrs in beamng *pushes glasses up and puts buck teeth over bottom lip*
That was honest to god the cringiest attempt at a retort I've read not just on Steam, but in general in a long damn time. It's like it's actually getting to you, what a tool

Grass and trees are seriously dated though. TES IV: Oblivion (2006, PC) and Far Cry 2 (2008, PC) have better vegetation (I mean grass and trees) than BeamNG.drive on Low. Nonetheless, I wouldn't say the graphics are outdated overall, the cars and their interiors look great. Optimisation of the game is more or less average, people on this game's forum do not seem eager to admit it.

BeamNG.drive does a great job at being a sandbox simulation game but uses the magic spell of "EaRlY aCcEsS" to shield itself from expectations/hype going too high or criticism going too rampant. Nonetheless, the devs deserve the respect and credit for their hard work and delivering quality regular updates.

That's what I initially expected but didn't see in this game. BeamNG.drive's cars refuse to get blocky on Low (that's an exaggeration, please don't take it too seriously), while the grass and the trees are shamelessly dated (seriously). So BeamNG.drive is unlike most games. Terrain and roads also look good on Low. The setting does not represent overall graphics because some things look great, some look good, and some look bad.

I believe the D series is blocky even on very high settings... Hehehe

Good joke, it made me laugh. :steamhappy:

OP doesn't realize that the game is still receiving free content with every update, and mods are still being supported as well. I also have a feeling that OP basically missed BeamNG's latest video involving the T Series doing a figure 8 drift around other T Series trucks.

I love the devs and think this game is an amazing example of vehicle simulation, honestly the best in gaming.

But I second this, I also wish that every part of the map is static, where chickenwire fencing will stop dead in its tracks a semi truck traveling 100mph

and still a hell of a lot better than assetto corsa, I have a really beefy system with a rtx 4090 and the game runs pretty rough at max graphics and traffic running, yes it looks like garbage but if the graphics were really good nobody could run the game,

there's a lot going on in this game than your tiny little brain can understand

if you carefully damage the front axle of some cars, it will simply disappear, but everything else will work, all you need to know about realism in this game, 99.9% of mods are even worse by hundreds of times :lunar2019grinningpig:
