However, to drive around in BeamNG VR can be a extremely enjoyable with wheel. I have not experience crash but some fps dip.
The only issue is that the LOD of the objects gets messed up, even with all graphic settings on max. I downloaded a mod that allows tweaking that.
Running on a RTX3060.
It looks good, looks clean, plays just fine for hours. :D
in first person its great, in third person its awful
the UI is the same in the VR and normal version, which for me on controller is completely fine
the only issue ive had is flickering in loading screens, otherwise its stable and runs fine
in the display setion there is an option to turn on VR mode(by default ctrl+numpad 0)
If you get VR you better spend some time setting up graphics.
And activate your VR headset (Ctrl + numpad 0) as the first thing you do when entering the game. That’ll give you the best performance.
Another thing. When changing graphics you better restart the game to see the true result.
I wish you good luck and fun.
Play with INDEX using RTX3090 PC with in-game image quality and high 100% 80HZ.
The map settings are the same, with the 4090 the GPU usage is around 40 and 180W, while the 3090 is 310W with the GPU usage around 70. The VRAM is about 9.8GB, so if you look at the 3D score, I think it will work with a 4070/4070S.
I didn't have any of that happen on my end. Which I also used a link cable for the meta and other wise also had a wired Vive Pro as well.
I had things maxed as far as they'd go! Looked amazing really.
