Improve FPS??
How do I improve my FPS in career mode? I get around 48fps. A solid 60 is all I ask.

I don't get it. Absolutely NONE of the settings in the game make any noticable difference. No matter if set to low or ultra it's a difference of 2-3fps at most. Worst game optimization.

Turn off dynamic reflections
the game is very CPU and RAM heavy, traffic(which the campaign almost always has) just makes it even worse
Graphics settings doing nothing probably means your CPU or RAM is the bottleneck

in options-gameplay there should be an option to set max how many traffic vehicles you can have. lower that

My CPU and RAM cannot be the bottleneck because my GPU is the worst part in my system. It would make sense if lowering the graphics settings would result in a few more fps but it doesn't. Only resolution will make a significant change in fps, but I'm not going to be playing on a lower resolution than my monitor is native in.

Also, the max traffic vehicle setting in the settings does not change the maximum traffic vehicles in the story. Campaign traffic is entirely run off of configs inside the game folder.

How much ram do you have?

That's because most of the lag is from the simulation, not the graphics. Career mode has traffic, the best option is to turn down the amount of traffic. I recommend one car per core, because the game is optimized to keep cars on separate cores until you have too many.

64gb DDR5, don't know exact speed atm but it was over 5000mhz.

I have a 12 core cpu and the game still runs like garbage with less cars than that.

If you are doing the campaign, it's probably going to be laggy, as it's still in development. try lowering your graphics presets, but you might not be able to do anything.
if you are getting that bad fps on modern 12 core and 64 giigs of ram than probably isnt your hardware(unless you are playing 4k with a bad gpu or you ahve some other wierd bottleneck like cooling or power issues)
might be a bad install(reinstall), driver issues(update drivers) or one of your mods being broken(open game in safe mode)

How about you post some specs??
Bakon Jun 4, 2024 @ 4:46pm
we need specs, and there is a video by muye on youtube.

His profile shows these specs:
CPU: Rʏᴢᴇɴ 9 7900X
GPU: RTX 3090 FE
RAM: Dᴏᴍɪɴᴀᴛᴏʀ Pʟᴀᴛɪɴᴜᴍ RGB
MOBO: N7 B650-E
PSU: SuperNOVA 1000
The game probably has too many cars spawned and your windows os is probably very unoptimized. I know people who think if they have a fast pc like a Ryzen Threadripper 3990x and an RTX 4090 they don't need to do anything to optimize windows. You can have the best computer in the world but any computer can be slowed down even if you can't notice.
-Edit: Make sure your computers temperatures are below 80C because at around 75C it throttles (slightly) and gets worse the hotter it gets.
Also make sure you are running in a high-performance windows power mode or make sure you are getting the kind of power from the PSU you need.

It does not throttle at 75C. The 7900X is designed to run at 95C 24/7. Only at and above 95C it will start to throttle, if still too hot it will shut down at around 105-115C I belive.
This CPU already idles at around 70-75C.... but it never goes above 85C while playing as far as I know.

The entire system is getting enough power to function correctly and my windows is definitely not "not optimized, drivers have all been already updated to try to fix this. Outside of campaign I get more than enough fps, and the settings are even stock. Stock amount of cars (which as I mentioned above you cannot change unless you edit game files directly) Changing graphics settings and such barely changes the total fps unless I play on a worse resolution. I've already tried to clear the cache, reinstall etc and I wasn't running any mods but didn't change much. The most fps I would get are around 40 to sometimes 50 but rarely above that. Outside campaign I can hit around 100fps and above.

I've already watched that and I couldn't get any better fps even with those settings applied, unless I was playing freeroam. But map the campain is on is already extremely bad on fps in the first place.
