is the T128X a good wheel for a beginner
Hi I wanna buy a racing wheel to play BeamNG and a few other racing games with, is the T128X a good choice for a beginner? $300 is my budget, maybe a little extra if there's a really good option for a that much more.

Hands down the Thrustmaster T248 if you're willing go the extra mile for it. It comes with increased torque, smoother force feedback, a much better magnetic 3 pedal set along with a separately sold 7 speed magnetic h-shifter over the Logitech models. The Logitech offering is still a decent choice though if you want to save some money to experience a fully manual setup. I do have to add though, at the T248's price point there are even better fully belt driven wheelbases like the Thrustmaster T300 (PS4), Thrustmaster TX (Xbox), and even some direct drive wheels like the Cammus C5 (PC only) which offer very good force feedback although they usually come in a bundle with less accessories, (no shifter or clutch which you'll have to buy separately) so you might want to take that into account.

no, get a T248 instead Which is around 300 maybe a little more.
Or maybe a T300RS if you can find one.

I'd probably recommend a second hand or refurbished Logitech G29/G920/G923 bundle with clutch and shifter, they can usually go around for $250-$300 on eBay. The T128X is not that great of a value for $200 because of its low quality 2 pedal set. A T248 is also a good option although will pricier than the Logitech set by $100 more for a full set with shifter.

The G923 is the newest and best Logitech gear driven wheel in terms of features, but will cost a slight bit more than a G29/G920. It has integrated Trueforce motors inside the steering rim for enhanced road and engine vibration in certain racing titles and a slightly better progressive brake pedal but outside of those two features it's nearly identical to the former two (of which the g29/g920 are exactly identical). If you are planning to use a Logitech wheel for your Xbox make sure to get either a G920 or G923 in the Xbox layout. The G29 was made exclusively for Playstation so i'd probably steer away from that model.

Try to get a MOZA R5 direct wheel drive bundle. It come with all you need, wheel, pedals and the base, if u can afford this in your case. I think there will be a direct drive R3 model as well wich might be a tadd cheaper.
