What is the point???

Ok So i am in career Mode

Brought a car but unless i am delivering packages around town i can not use my car for missions .

So i thought i will buy a truck , woot woot got my first Big Rig, went to my first mission and again truck provided "seriously this is starting to feel like the crew motor fest"

Buy a car/truck but never get to use it unless your in free roam
If I buy a vehicle it would be great to use it in a mission.

Other wise i will be better off just up grading my licence than paying for another vehicle i will never use.

and the missions are over ever so quick, be nice to have a slider on the side giving us a option to have short or longer missions

Career mode is still a WIP so they are always working on it and updating it.

I just enjoy playing it on different options just for the sheer enjoyment of being able to do what I want to :D

I like the game and the career mode so far but man is this games interface a nightmare...

Dont get me wrong love the game and i am blown away by how amazing it is in VR i lost 5 hours of my life because the VR was that amazing.

and i can see more of my life gone because it is just that amazing i am drawn back to it

But i just dont see the point to why buy something if you can not have the option to use it in a mission.

I can see where you're coming from. I guess that part of the game is still a WIP because the main point to the game, as I understand it, is to be a realistic game where suspension etc. is the main focus.

The other items are bonuses, for example the VR is only a recent add-on.

I think if more people say they want the focusing to be on making the missions better and to have more meaning, then they may consider prioritising it :)

I just enjoy playing the game after their updates :D

I know you can use your own car in the races, time trials, evade, and maybe some other types of mission. Delivery missions only let you use the provided vehicle. Semi trucks also damage fragile cargo very easily so unfortunately owning your own semi is pretty pointless for now.

I saw someone comment about that and I have to admit, I've not tried to do that with a semi truck. I think I did it with one of those low loader things and the cargo wobbled about and nearly fell off but I drove slowly but carefully and didn't turn the wheel too much (using a joypad) and it got to the destination without any breakages.

I hope that the devs add more options to the delivery missions :)

i must have a look at that today as i could not see where i could use my own car in the races it was always a borrowed one.

I wonder whether I meant when you do your own races, not the ones already done, like when driving around the Nurburgring track. I could be wrong regarding the predone races.

Currently the missions work like the scenarios that're seperate from career mode, they're mostly balanced around the vehicle they choose for you. You CAN use your own vehicle in some of them, but you won't get your bonus stars.

So it's still good to own a fast car, AND a big truck like the T-series, which can be loaded up with several thousand dollars worth of cargo at once.
