BeamNG Launcher concept

I want the beamng devs to bless people with a minecraft-like launcher, letting you boot up any version of beamng known to exist. So. This is how it will work.

You boot up steam and then go to beamng and press play.
It will bring up a modern looking launcher.
There will be on the left side all of the versions.
You scroll until you find the version you want to play.
Lets say... A version of beamng when you started playing it.
When you click it the backround (can) change into a backround based on the update
like 0.8.0 having the legran in the backround, or 0.25 having the civetta scintila
Also, it will have a paragraph of what the biggest things added there was, and a link to the beamng patch notes website if you like snooping for more info
You press play and it boots the beamng version you selected.


please. i beg the devs to do this.
It will probably unleash a horse of different content on youtube, to pure joy of seeing the bugs in the old versions and hearing the old engine noise that you would hear with every car.

so devs. this is my message to you. please. add. this.

I forgot that beamng versions are like 20gb so instead of just a simple play button you will be greeted by an install button. you can install it and when it finishes, you can play it and if you want you can simply uninstall it from a slide down menu just like steam.

Also this can be very helpful to people with low end computers, because they can simply just downgrade the version to one that works perfectly for them.

It would be waste of dev time and resources to be honest
id rather the game move forward than hang on the past for youtubes
there are ways to get older versions if ya really want them
not saying its a bad idea thou maybe an idea for a mod?

A launcher is completely unnecessary. Just add some old versions to the Steam beta branches like a bunch of other games do.

It'd be nice to have easy access to older versions, but the current launcher is enough. They could just put them in steam under betas, like they already have for versions when they stopped supporting older versions of DirectX and 32 bit computers.
