T Series Only has 5 gears?
Like I said in the title, the 10 speed manual T series only shows up with 5 gears. I have absolutely no clue what is up with this

Trucks often have rangeboxes, 5 low gears 5 high gears.

That second lever beside the gearstick is your range selector (most modern trucks have a thumb switch on the shifter)

I haven't gotten a chance to drive it since the update, I assume they changed the shifting mechanics to necessitate the range gear? Probably need to find out what key its bound to.

Default bind looks like Alt+A to swap ranges. I suppose thats ergonomic enough.

So when you go to switch to higher gears hit Alt +A or rebind it, or you can click the widget on the HUD.

Nope, tried that and it still only goes up to 5th gear. It only says it has 4 gears even though its the 10 speed.

This is just how semi truck transmissions work. Essentially the way it works is, 5 high is 10th gear. The way you shift through the gears is, you start in 1st in low gear, then go up to 1st in high, to 2nd low, 2nd high, and so on. The "rangebox" thing is actually called a splitter, I don't know why they didn't call it that.

1= 1low 2=1high 3=2low 4=2high 5=3low 6=3high 7=4low 8=4high 9=5low 10=5high

In this case you only need to use the clutch every other shift

If you have an H-shifter, you can shift without the clutch on every gear pretty easily by matching the engine rpm to the transmission rpm, also called floating.

basically when you have the rangebox in "low" you are using the first 5 gears, when you set it to "high" it would use the other 5 gears. this is so you can have a transmission with 5 phisical gears and a rangebox instead of 10 actuall gears, that would occupy a lot of space
you basically go "low" 1 2 3 4 5, switch to high then 1 2 3 4 5

...that is just how American semi truck transmissions work, 99% of the time. Especially older ones, and the T-series is most certainly an older truck.
