BeamNG fun to play with only KB+M?
I do not have a steering wheel and pedals set since i've never been a racing game enthusiast but I heard Beam NG is a blast to play with friends and i want to pick up the game, is it possible to play this sim with just a keyboard or is it best experienced by using a steering wheel controller etc?

I played with keyboard for a while, but I HIGHLY recommend that you get a controller. It's a game changer

yeah, you can play with KBM, but trust me, once you join the world of sim rig driving, you will forever hate using KBM.

I think you'll have fun nonetheless, the collision system in this game is a masterpiece :D.

However, it is worth investing in a steering wheel. It doesn't have to be expensive, I, for example, use a Thrustmaster T150 (on top of that, I bought a used one) and after doing the setup from the guide below, it drives really great:

For the best experience, it's worth combining it with VR. The only downside is its early version, the object loading distance is very small, and the requirements are huge (even 100fps less, on the same graphics settings)

Buy a PS4 controller with gyro's and stuff.

1. Buy 2 duck tape wheel (no steering wheel yet)
2. use a pencil and duck tape the ♥♥♥♥ ou of it
3. use the controller and on the other end of the pencil tape that PS4 controller duck tape that ♥♥♥♥
4. fine tune the duck taped area which should be all
duck tape to your desk at a 40 degree angle.
5. duck tape some more and you have a perfect steering for 50 bucks because of the gyros and accentuator on the controller. you hva e a feature steering wheels dont even have so you can ♥♥♥♥ on all those fanatec and moza people. the accentuator.

don't do this, it will suck.

just save up your pocket money and buy a real wheel, they have force feedback which makes it so much easier.

I heard that xbox controller is better for pc games, I don't own both to confirm this theory though

it's entirely possible to play with a controller. Additionally bean ng is not a racing game, so in most cases you don't have to sweat unless you really want to.

playing without FFB just makes it a little less enjoyable.
it does make a difference.

what is FBB?
edit: ok I guess it's force feedback. But why is it so important then?
