Have you tried putting the clutch in? If the clutch isn't disconnected you'll get syncro damage as you force it into gear.

Dont tap the shift up button, hold it for half a second and you will never damage a synchro again...

It's bad in new T-series but do these tips work?

i think this is ass cause i have it so i can chose my gear fast cause if i go slow i lose traction and spin out and automatic is bad for drifting. wish there was a way to disable the damage for it. cause i dont have a clutch pedal

Sequential race box fixes that problem... We're dealing with a simulation here that's just gonna go more hardcore with every update. Besides, destroy the box and renew the car with press of a button. Easier than doing a transmission swap in the pits IRL. And it doesn't require a long activation of gear change button/trigger, maybe 15ms instead of 5ms? Shouldn't really upset the car that much.

yeah but options to remove stuff from the sim if you dont want it should be a thing also...

it's not a "problem", it's called a manual transmission

Please correct me if I'm wrong on anything here, but I'd like to point out that sequential doesn't fix all of the problems (but indeed using clutch manually while shifting is not required in a sequential), especially that the user may still be able to use the clutch manually in case the revs may go too low and turn off the engine. Automatic, I think, solves the issue of having to use clutch completely (it's not even possible to use clutch manually in such case).

Besides, (in my opinion) it's clearly a skill issue here (it's an issue because of one's lack of skill) but I understand that getting used to clutch may be frustrating at times.

Answering the original question in the thread: I don't know of such option, maybe some assistants may alleviate or deal with this problem. I don't know because I quickly stopped using any assistants related to shifting (I want a simulation (from BeamNG.drive), not yet another arcade game). I admit I haven't checked all the options this thoroughly to notice this particular option (if it exists).

It's called unrealistic BS tbh. I have been driving manual transmissions all my life in RL, not to mention in other simulators (AC, RBR etc.) and never have I ever had anything close to these problems in BeamNGs manual gearbox. You can press the clutch like half a second before the shift and the game STILL thinks it's a gear crunch. Whatever they changed with recent updates, they need to reverse it.

I agree entirely with this. I wondered why I kept seeing "synchronization damage," when I literally just got home from doing Uber rides while rowing through gears with about half a second of space between each. No issues, never had issues, so I'm not sure what's provoking it in BeamNG.

Very late response, I know, but I would like to thank you for sharing this information.
