Need suggestion on FFB wheel adjustment.
I've start play this game with FFB wheel recently, I switch to here from ETS2, wheel I am using is T300RS GT edition, also equipped with a TH8A shifter.
I got few questions need to be answered, any comment would be appreciated.

1. How to make the wheel centralize to central smoothly? Do I need to adjust from windows panel? I try to adjust the setting in game, but it always happened like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RloXuwwfDl8 The wheel will centralize with over power, which makes the wheels overturns, then back to central. Sometimes while I adjusting the strength setting, the centralize system won't work, not sure which part of the setting went wrong.

2. Is there any way to increase the strength and type of the vibration? I would like my wheel start vibrate when vehicle is idle or normal driving on the road.

3. There are some in-game assistants in setting, should I use those assistants while I am using a wheel?

I'll reply here if I got more questions here, thanks!

1. Unfortunately, it is widely acknowledged that BeamNG does not offer a great FFB experience yet but each player can improve on it through experimentation. If you have already tried all settings affecting centering ("Steering lock strength" and "Side acceleration strength" in particular) then you should use your Thrustmaster Control Panel and see what you can achieve there. I kid you not, I use a Driving Force GT from 2010 so I am not familiar with modern wheels and what they are capable of. Maybe someone else can assist you further here.

2. My wheel may be ancient, but I found that reducing "Smoothing" and "Secondary smoothing" has a great effect on the magnitude of the vibrations. You can uncheck "Reduce strength while parked" as well. I also see in my menu, a Logitech feature called "Trueforce" that can perhaps increase vibrations. I can't use it though as my wheel does not support it.

3. This is a good question that I cannot answer. All my assists are set to OFF except for "Clutch assistant" and "Throttle assistant" (I don't have a clutch pedal). I always recommend removing any assist that significantly interfere with the attitude of your vehicle (ex.: "Oversteer assistant", "Understeer assistant") and only enabling those that help ease the use of the clutch and transmission if needed. This is entirely up to you though.

@Claire Thanks for the reply with a detailed introduction. I've put both smoothing to 0, which made a big difference. The question I am curious about is, when I drift accidentally, the game will try to fix it automatically, but I don't want that to happen. It will take the control of the wheel from me for few seconds, is there any option to close it?
Thanks for the reply!

No problem!

Have you tried unchecking "Oversteer reduction assistant" in the "GAMEPLAY" menu?

You should also check out the "Steering lock strength" setting in the "FORCE FEEDBACK" menu. Hover over your mouse over that setting: a popup will reveal additional information. Did you check if you had a valid steering angle? If so, this setting will apply an artificial force to the steering in order to unwind it to a valid angle.

Perhaps you could simply reduce the value of the "Strength" setting which is the general force applied to the wheel.

Hopes this helps! But again, there is quite a bit of experimentation required to figure this out. Maybe someone here can provide more insights. If not, I recommend you ask your questions here as well:
